Malaysia has reached the 8290 cases of Covid-19, on the 28th of May 2021, as it record the highest number of cases in one day. Selangor recorded the state with the highest daily increase, with 2,052 new cases recorded, followed by Kelantan with 851 new cases.
Kuala Lumpur posted 830 new cases, Johor has 762 and Sarawak has 698. In the same 24-hour span, 61 more people died to Covid-19. This takes the country’s Covid-19 death toll up to 2,552.
In a Twitter post, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the country’s cumulative cases is now 549,514.
