If you like historic buildings the Kuala Lumpur Railway Station is one of them. It Located along Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin (previously known as Victory Avenue), it used to be KL’s main railway hub until 2001 when Kuala Lumpur Sentral took over much of its role.
The station was completed in 1910 and designed by that most prolific and talented of British colonial architects, Arthur Benison Hubback. The station contains three raised platforms serving four railway lines, consisting two side platforms (platforms 1 and 4) on both sides and one island platform (platforms 2 and 3) in between.
Kuala Lumpur Railway Station is a favorite sightseeing attraction in the city due to its gorgeous façade – the open-plan Renaissance-like building’s spacious verandas with arched colonnades make for beautiful photo opportunities.
