Kuala Lumpur Bird Park is the world’s largest covered bird park. Located adjacent to the Lake Gardens within a KL green lung in Bukit Aman, close to the National Mosque and Royal Malaysian Police Museum.
The Park opened in 1991 and is home to more than 3,000 birds from 200 species all over the world. It is a popular tourist attraction in the country, receiving an annual average of 200,000 visitors.
Kuala Lumpur Bird Parks has over 60 species of local and foreign birds, including the Indian blue peacock, with its colorful five-foot train, and the crowned pigeon, the largest pigeon species in the world.
The Park is divided into several sections: Brahminy Land, World of Parrots, Flamingo Pond, Hornbill Park and many more, to keep the different species of feathered creatures separate but they are free to fly around their respective enclosures.
