National Zoo is a Zoo in Malaysia which is managed by the Malaysian Zoological Society. The society is a non-governmental organization established to create the first local zoo for Malaysians. 

It is opened officially on 14th November 1963. The Zoo is home to over 5,000 specimens and 476 species of animals in exhibits and landscapes that mimic their natural habitat. 

National zoo has transformed itself to an open concept zoo with over 90% of its animals kept in spacious exhibits with landscape befitting its nature.
