Perhentian Islands has seven Islands, only the two larger are permanently inhabited. And the uninhabited islands offer some of the best snorkeling and softer sand and can only be reached via private boats and tours.

Perhentian Islands is home of deep turquoise waters, palm-fringed shorelines, and coral reefs rich in marine. You can find also sea turtles, blue spotted rays, and clownfish which is abound here.

There is no way to travel from Kuala Lumpur to Perhentian Islands by flight. Thus, to get to perhentian Islands will mentioned below:

The best road by flight: 

Flying to nearby Kota Bharu and then travelling overland to Kuala Besut. From Kuala Besut you can take a ferry across to the islands. (Duration 2:30 hours)

By road:  

Driving from Kuala Lumpur city to Kuala Besut. From Kuala Besut you can take a ferry across to the islands. (Duration 7 hours approximately)
