Satay is grilled meat or chicken served with peanuts sauce and pressed rice. The earliest preparations of satay are believed to have originated in Javanese cuisine. Satay popular in many other Southeast Asian countries including Malaysia, Brunei, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

Satay may consist of diced or sliced chicken, goat, mutton, beef, other meats. The meats will be prepared through skewers and then grilled.
